I don't draw this lovley lady enough, so here she is
You know how in the TLK Brightest Star Book, mufasa is telling simba the story of mohatu and such, i always see him telling simba about all his grand parents. Including Those on Sarabi's side. (which would be Erevu and Athena)
And How Erevu was from another pride, and that he lived as neither a memeber or a rouge to the Pridelander's pride.
That he left his pride to find himself.... and Then Found and fell in love with Athena. Whom is a strong, smart, swift, leader figure among the lionessess. Even as a teen. (though she is not born of royalty at all)
Then after, she and erevu have sarabi. and for the beggining of sarabi's life thats how it was, both parents there always.
But news came to Erevu that his father had past away, and that Erevu now had to go claim the title as king. Athena However didn't want to leave the land that her relatives came from, and that sarabi was betrothed to mufasa.
so athena stayed, and erevu left. However they pledged everlasting love towards eachother. Erevu never gained another lover, nor had any other cubs. and always found times to go visit his daughter.
So in a sense, Athena IS a queen, ans Sarabi (by blood!) is a little princess ^^
One visit however, would be that of athena not doing well.
and Erevu coming to her aid,
Athena would die of old age before her lover.She died laying next to him, just happy that he was there with her.
Athena died knowing that sarabi was pregnant with simba. she never saw the little prince.
And erevu's last visit to Sarabi would be the morning that Simba was born.
He too, would soon pass on after that, of old age. So he atleast got to see Simba once.
as grim as all of it sounds, it does make sense. as neither of these characters are in the film.
Erevu is in the crowd (not seen) during simba's presentation. the movie then cuts to scar and mufasa talking and such. so that could very well be an incident taking place long after the ceremony. so before mufasa goes to see scar, erevu could have been visiting with them.
