Just wanted to show a side by side comparison of the first original sketch/doodle to this pic

I just really liked the feel of the original sketch, I may or may not upload a progress pic of this.

I might make "This to That" pictures more often...... I think some like seeing the start and end results of pictures. There's just something about sketches.... they've got a raw liveliness to them. Not to say that finished projects don't..... but you have to admit. There's a difference between the two. I feel sketches are more personal. But that could just be me

I know what you mean about the sketch. I really like your comparison here. How much did you base your finished piece on the sketch? Do you scan it in and trace over it or do you redraw on the computer?

I love the sense of motion you see in the sketch. I agree with ~Miscomunication about the different emotions in the pictures, the sketch looks like the cleansing is painful while with the colored one it seems more inevitable or natural. For me I think the difference is in how the color connects the eyes with spewed energy so it feels like a power and therefore a choice while in the sketch the lines for the energy are lighter and make it look separate from the wolf (the eyes in particular are dark and quite different from the energy) and that's why it seems more painful/sad.

I may be WAY over thinking this, but I wanted to let you know I really enjoyed looking at this!

The contrast between the sketch and the colored one is frickin' amazing! It's so dramatic that with the colored version, I get a sense of moment and dynamics and everything. I even hear it making a BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGHH fire-barfing noise-type-thing. xD

Really awesome, though. I love it when artists show their sketch work.
