Description

EDIT: Turns out I was right about it's name the first time. So I'm changing it back to the original image XD goodness that was frustrating. I am by no means an expert on this animal, so excuse my error folks.

Oh yes boys and girls.... There was a Hyena that was found in the Americas at some point. And it was huge compared to the more known, modern day Spotted Hyena of Africa.

Now I don't know this animal all that well (not how I know the Thylacine 8D) So I'm just going to link you guys to a couple sites with info on this long lost animal (yes it is extinct)
(I don't even know if I properly named it in the pic :\ )

All I know is that it was bigger, found in some parts of North America, It is said to be one of the possible origins of the rumored creature Shunka Warakin, It's name means "The Hyena Who Saw The Canyon", like others in the Hyena family, it is NOT relate to canines..........aaaannnnnddddd yeah.

I'm not even 100% happy with this drawing of it. I may do a whole 'nother image of it. I think I made it too bulky. They think it was a bit more slender in build. Also I wasn't sure as to what to do with it's pelt markings. I just guessed it on here. I may play with that as well in another drawing.

I dunno. Here's some links
