"Simba took kovu to the top of pride rock for the last of many talks he had had with the young lion, who has now grown into a respectable adult. he knew the end was near in his long life and rule of kingship. kiara had even given birth to two cubs. kovu wasnt ready for simba to go. he was the only father and kindness he had ever truly known in life. he still even felt guilt for his childhood hatred towards him. and he feared that he would turn out like his mother during his own ruling of the kingdom without simba's guidance.

they talked, and they talked for hours in the rain. even though the king's health wouldnt normally allow him to be in the rain long.

finally kovu made his way back down to the den where all the lionesses were. tears running down his face.

the lionesses looked at him with concern. he looked over to nala, then kiara, his two cubs asleep next to her......

then without a word. they all knew and lowered their heads and began to cry..

for at the end of the gentle rain, came the end of the Rein of King Simba."

first time ever really drawing kovu, meh still dont like him much xD

I knew that if they had a 3rd Lion King movie that Kovu and Simba would have a close bond. Like, Kovu taking place of the son void(Kopa 'dying' in the original plot), and Simba taking place of the father void for Kovu
