Mostly KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS has to be a best choice, in my opinion.
Having a baby as a teen can alter many things. School, work, college, career, social life (sometimes)
But I could be wrong because hells knows what my health teacher smokes.
And by reading the other posts, I agree with most of you. I remember when I was little, me and my friends used to play 'house', and we'd be 16 year old mothers. We never thought about financal problems, and other problems. I heard a conversation recently, and someone asked why they do it, and the answer basically said
"They're still playing house. They think that they can do all these crazy things and not have to deal with what comes after. Like they can hit pause and go back to reality"
What do you guys think?
I talked to this one girl at school who said she had sex in high school, sophomore year. Even though she didn't get pregnant or anything, she said it was the worst mistake of her life. She said that high school relationships don't last long. They're short little flings, and she gave herself up to someone who meant nothing to her, plus, she did so when she felt her body wasn't capable of getting full enjoyment out of it. I'm staying a virgin until I'm out of college.
Life cycles are artificially prolonged now, but before medical care as we have now, people may have not lived past 40-50. Thus it makes sense to have kids from 15 or so - that's why it's biologically possible. At this point the body is mature enough, all the parts work, and the hormones rage to tell the person in question that it's time to have sex to reproduce before they die.
You can try to suppress that, but you'll never succeed - biology will always win. Always.
Of course, if you're going to have sex as a teen (which I can't see anything wrong with), at least do it responsibly. Use protection or birth control unless you actually want a kid, and there shouldn't be a problem.
It's kind of a tough thing though for me. My grandma Jan (mothers mom) got pregnant at 17 and had 3 kids by 21, but things seemed to be fine for her. My mother on the other hand... first one she had when she was 16: aborted. Second one she had at 22 (me): attempted abortion and given up to my grandparents (fathers parents), Third one she had: aborted, fourth one she had: kept.
