yeah, its true, I like that he changed for love! I mean, it *is* a kids film, kids don't need to know that brainwashing takes years to get rid of

They just need to know that love conquers all!

He was sweet as a cub, and when he grew up and saw that in the pridelands they actually have *fun* and *care* about each other, he decided he didn't like what his mother taught him afterall. I think the "for LOVE!" part was almost secondary to the fact that he realized the person he was trying to kill was really NICE compared to his crazy bitchy mom

I voted "kovu is a more complex character," however that was just to see the results XD

I personally like them both, they both have their flaws, but i think they both have to face an inner struggle as well as an outer struggle.

kovu is hot.
but i agree simba is a better character, and he's more 'believable' somehow. i liked kovu more when he was all evil, and simba got screwed in the second movie..

I think Simba has more character, personality, and is smexy in his own way, also everyone can relate to him in some way.

Kovu gives me a hallow feeling (emotionless) and if I have to say the only feeling he gives me is (sex appeal), its almost like hes full of himself almost vain like.

Over all I was in 3rd or 4th grade when lion king came out and omg that movie has never left me, I am still in love with it, I personaly find Simba to be better than Kovu and hotter... lol

In my opinion, characters in Simba's pride were developed lazily. I mean, If they've been done with a bit more of effort they'd have been great. The movie would have been great. All the characters in that movie have different un-coherent personalities. When I saw it (I was 6) I was like 'huh? is that simba? really??'
