Ahadi and Taka Heart to Heart

Ahadi had said earlier this day that Mufasa would be the next King of the Pridelands..... After the talk, Taka was out in the grass crying and wondering why he wasnt enough for his father. Did he do something wrong? Did he just like Mufasa better? Did he hate him? Then Taka heard the grass rustling from behind him.
"Taka, what are you doing out here?"
Taka just looked up at his father, then he turned away and lowered his head and started to sob.
"Taka, If you're crying because of what I told you and your brother earlier I--"

Taka shot around and stared his father in the eyes, tears rolling down his face.
"Why not me?! What's wrong with me? Did I do something wrong?? I could be King... I want to be King.... I want to be just like you..."

"Taka--!"

"NO! It's not fair.... you love him more than me.... What did I do dad? Why am I not-NEVER good enough for you? I..... I can do almost everything that Mufasa does......I...I'm..."

Ahadi starred down at his son, and his strong voice softened.
"Taka... you are a great son, I love you both just the same."

Taka looked up at his father, "Then why him? Dad? Why not.....me?"

"Taka, there are certain things about a lion that shines through .... It's not something you do, it's something you have. It's a knowing, and understanding. A want to take care of those around you. Wisdom. Taka, Mufasa has these things, things that you have yet to learn. It could be in time that you do learn these things.... But Taka, I am sorry. As of right now, Mufasa is my heir... I know you're hurt, but you should be happy for your brother."

Taka looked down.....

Knowing that he's not the best at comforting others, Ahadi put his paw on his son's back, "Plus, you will be the King's brother, you can do almost anything you want. That's almost as good as being a King..." He winked at his son.

Taka looked up and gave alittle smile. Small, but a smile none the less.

They sat there for a few minutes..... Then Taka looked up at his father, "Dad?"
"Hmm?"
"Suppose...... Mufasa messes up.... and...I learn those things?
Can I be the King then?"
"If Mufasa messes up, I Promise..... you can be King"
Taka gave his father a hopeful smile and he leaned up against his strong foreleg ....... Those words echoed through Taka's mind, as they both watched the sunset.

for those that dont know. Taka is Scar as a cub, Taka was his birth name. It was stated in a book release by Disney after the first film was made.
And Ahadi is Scar and Mufasa's father.
