Description
Character commission for .
(Here's an image showcasing the steps taken to create this image)
Well now, it really has been some time since I have drawn up a horse properly.
Many moons ago, I would draw horses soo often that they were near second nature, right next to lions and wolves.
These days I am focused on pinup art of the ladies.
And I have been soo rusty at horses too. Took some sketching and researching of horses for this to happen.... And some revisiting to listening to some Bon Jovi.
As soon as she asked me to draw this stallion up, I got excited. It's not often people ask me to draw horses/horse-like characters. And I got SUPER inspired to get this done, so here it is.
BTW, Dina actually adopted this character from me way back in 2011
I am mildly amused with my progression of skill when it comes to drawing horses, and or grasping their anatomy.
And being commissioned to draw a character I have adopted out to someone always has a "this has come full circle" feeling to me. And I enjoy that.
Drawn in .5 led pencil, scanned, colored digitally with the mouse.
(my poor hand)
Thank you ever soo much again Dina for commissioning me
Enjoy, whoever is looking at this.
-Danielle
