Epic title is oh-so-totally-mindblowingly-EPIC.

This drawing went through a few different changes in terms of background, concept, and "idea".
It was originally going to be unicorn based, but after drawing it and doing the BG, I ended up not liking it very much. so I went with this weird jagged white light stuff behind her head to form a sort of "crown".

So this drawing had a meaning/concept, but it ran away.

And no she is not based on any specific person or actress.

Anywho, this was drawn, colored, and shaded in Paint Tool Sai using a Wacom tablet.. Then I edited, added the background, and finishing touches in photoshop.
The brushes used in the background were hand made by me.
